Human lives as if he’ll never die, but dies as if he had never lived

I dreamed I had an interview with God. “So you would like to interview me?” God asked. “If you have the time” I said.
God smiled. “My time is eternity. What questions do you have in mind for me?” “What surprises you most about humankind?”

God answered…“That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.”
“That they lose their health to make money…and then lose their money to restore their health.”
“That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.”
“That they live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never lived.”

God’s hand took mine and we were silent for a while. And then I asked… “As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons
you want your children to learn?”

“To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved.”
“To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.”
“To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.”
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.”
“To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.”
“To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply have not yet learned how to express or show their feelings.”
“To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.”
“To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”

“Thank you for your time,” I said humbly. “Is there anything else you would like your children to know?”

God smiled and said, “Just know that I am here… always.”

Who Pull You Up & Bring You Down?

November 12, 2008 | 24 Views | Leave a Comment

I squeezed out a smile when I’ve read this. I found this so true.. friends referred in the statement may actually be your co-worker, neighbour or an acquiantance. This is from the book entitled “100 Ways To Motivate Yourself”.

“Simply walk away from friends who don’t support the changes in your life… They will be jealous and afraid every time you make a change. They will see your new motivation as a condemnation of their own lack of it. In subtle ways, they will bring you back down to who you used to be. Beware of friends and family who do this. They know not what they do.”

How much money I earned last October by blogging from Linkworth alone?

November 11, 2008 | 40 Views | Leave a Comment

This screesnhot shows my Linkworth’s earnings for the month of October. I can’t give you an exact figure how much I earned for the month of October but I would say it’s pretty… well it’s pretty. Harhar.

October has passed pretty quickly for me. My earnings remained pretty stable throughout the month but there was a significant increase in my Google Adsense earnings in one of the site I’m running. Interesting note, there was not much change in the traffic but the earnings increased by almost 40%. Though, I still hate collecting Google’s payout via western union as I always have to go out of my way to do it. Unlike other Publishers and Advertises payments are all done via Paypal, which is a lot more convenient. Anyhoo, cheers for blogging!

Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 5 - The pink tote

A pink tote from Ralph Lauren. This is not from boo, this is probably from his Mom. I’m not a pink lover but I truly appreciate this gift. This tote is ideal for beach outings. It’s made from durable nylon material, designed in a roomy, versatile size, with two carry straps and one interior zip compartment.

Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 4 - The compact umbrella

Boo knows for a fact I hate using an umbrella but he knows as well I would love to keep a compact one in my bag. I hate him for giving me an Eddie Bauer umbrella because I just bought a green sisley green umbrella. Both of them are equally pretty and light weight. Now, I’m confused which one to keep in my bag.

Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 3 - Because it’s green!

I asked him “Why would you give me a turtle?”. He replied “Because you love green”. Harhar!

He’d been in Seaworld in San Diego. Sea World is a marine mammal park that offers orca, sea lion and dolphin shows and zoological displays featuring various other marine animals.

Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 2 - Body lotions

I really appreciate this gift. I know it’s not easy for a man to walk in to a beauty shop just to get her girl some heavy cream, lotions and butters. Again, thanks Babe!

He got me a set of travel-size of lotions from Bath and Body. He knew my bag is always full of hundreds other things. This would be perfect for me. He also got me 2 body butter from from Bath and Body and different hand and body lotions from Victoria Secret. I’ll keep the travel-size lotion and butter cream and I’ll give away the VS lotions. If you want one, send me an email.

Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 1 - The mighty mouse

In the beginning, there was one button. Then there were two. Then there were clickable scroll wheels and programmable toggles and solid-state slides. Hahaha. I finally got my new Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse. Lovee it! Thanks Babe!

I knew I’ll be getting a mighty mouse so I didn’t get myself a wireless mouse when I bought my mac. Using a tailed mouse, my imouse (kuno), while working at home or on the go is not that comfortable, at least it was white and its name is imouse. Harhar! I gave my microsoft wireless mouse to my sister, it was dark colored and it wouldn’t look so good with my macbook. Shallow! But true.

The box it came in with was really neat, it’s like it’s telling me that inside is something really special. Like its tailed predecessor, wireless Mighty Mouse looks like a Johnson & Johnson soap:) . It has a clean design unmarred by unseemly buttons. It’s configured as a single-button mouse for easy adoption by long-time Mac users, though actually it has four buttons hidden within the shell. The sensors automatically and accurately distinguish between right and left clicks, providing the functionality of a multi-button mouse.

The scroll ball on the top of the Mighty Mouse is superior compared to scroll wheels found on other input devices because it can scroll vertically, horizontally, and even diagonally. A tremendous time- and effort-saver because you can pan around large documents (like long Web pages or huge photographs) without moving the cursor to the scroll bars.

Apple claims that this wireless Mighty Mouse’s new laser-tracking engine is 20 times more precise than the optical technology employed in the wired Mighty Mouse. I’m not sure if its true but I can say this mouse worked perfectly on a wide range of test surfaces, from smooth plastic to textured fabric.

There’s also an on/off switch on the underside to ensure the mouse isn’t inadvertently activated when tossed into a portable bag.

Wounded heart

This is where I fall asleep for 2 hours. The truth is, this picture was taken 2 or 3 minutes after I woke up. I’d like to thank the girl who was seated beside me when my eyes could barely open. V, thanks for the wonderful time we had together. I woke up feeling horrible that day. I was nauseous and grumpy. It was a puking-all-day hangover and not just the woke-up-with-a- headache-still-kind-of-have-one hangover. Harhar. Who would ever believe I fall sleep under the tree with my wet clothes on. I wont ever forget what you told me that morning. There was no blaming and all that. Your message was simple and flat, that you were there for me. You touched the core of my soul. Months from now we will be a part, but you will be forever in my heart. Magkikita tayo don. Hahanapin kita sa Washington. Aakyat ako sa space needle at sisigaw ako ” V, nasan kaaaaaaaaaa!!!” Harhar. I heart you and you know that.

5:20 pm
Im out of town. Out with with friends and co-workers. Although I and Geline planned to join this trip a month ago but this morning we agreed not to join and last minute we changed our minds due to Virgie’s persuasion skill.

I am on Vacation Leave since yesterday while Geline arranged to move her off today just so she can come. Interesting note, Geline never got a chance to sleep since she came home from work this morning, we spent the whole morning arguing whether to come or not. Harhar. She is sleeping behind me while I’m writing this.

Believe it or not, I have this mac with me due to a work that needs to be finish before the end of the day. That’s the main reason why I was hesitant to have this out of town trip today. Thanks to the resto downstairs that offers wi-fi connection. Anyhoo, this day need not to be spoiled. I don’t get much chance to be with Virgie and Geline so we all deserve to have fun today.

Updates: 6:14 PM

I’m here at the resto, just a few meters away from our cottage. I need to download some big files so i had to go down here for fast download. I’ll post more pictures later.
