Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 5 - The pink tote

A pink tote from Ralph Lauren. This is not from boo, this is probably from his Mom. I’m not a pink lover but I truly appreciate this gift. This tote is ideal for beach outings. It’s made from durable nylon material, designed in a roomy, versatile size, with two carry straps and one interior zip compartment.

Boo knows for a fact I hate using an umbrella but he knows as well I would love to keep a compact one in my bag. I hate him for giving me an Eddie Bauer umbrella because I just bought a green sisley green umbrella. Both of them are equally pretty and light weight. Now, I’m confused which one to keep in my bag.

I asked him “Why would you give me a turtle?”. He replied “Because you love green”. Harhar!
He’d been in Seaworld in San Diego. Sea World is a marine mammal park that offers orca, sea lion and dolphin shows and zoological displays featuring various other marine animals.
Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 2 - Body lotions

I really appreciate this gift. I know it’s not easy for a man to walk in to a beauty shop just to get her girl some heavy cream, lotions and butters. Again, thanks Babe!
He got me a set of travel-size of lotions from Bath and Body. He knew my bag is always full of hundreds other things. This would be perfect for me. He also got me 2 body butter from from Bath and Body and different hand and body lotions from Victoria Secret. I’ll keep the travel-size lotion and butter cream and I’ll give away the VS lotions. If you want one, send me an email.
Let’s unpack boo’s gift : Part 1 - The mighty mouse

In the beginning, there was one button. Then there were two. Then there were clickable scroll wheels and programmable toggles and solid-state slides. Hahaha. I finally got my new Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse. Lovee it! Thanks Babe!
I knew I’ll be getting a mighty mouse so I didn’t get myself a wireless mouse when I bought my mac. Using a tailed mouse, my imouse (kuno), while working at home or on the go is not that comfortable, at least it was white and its name is imouse. Harhar! I gave my microsoft wireless mouse to my sister, it was dark colored and it wouldn’t look so good with my macbook. Shallow! But true.
The box it came in with was really neat, it’s like it’s telling me that inside is something really special. Like its tailed predecessor, wireless Mighty Mouse looks like a Johnson & Johnson soap:) . It has a clean design unmarred by unseemly buttons. It’s configured as a single-button mouse for easy adoption by long-time Mac users, though actually it has four buttons hidden within the shell. The sensors automatically and accurately distinguish between right and left clicks, providing the functionality of a multi-button mouse.
The scroll ball on the top of the Mighty Mouse is superior compared to scroll wheels found on other input devices because it can scroll vertically, horizontally, and even diagonally. A tremendous time- and effort-saver because you can pan around large documents (like long Web pages or huge photographs) without moving the cursor to the scroll bars.
Apple claims that this wireless Mighty Mouse’s new laser-tracking engine is 20 times more precise than the optical technology employed in the wired Mighty Mouse. I’m not sure if its true but I can say this mouse worked perfectly on a wide range of test surfaces, from smooth plastic to textured fabric.
There’s also an on/off switch on the underside to ensure the mouse isn’t inadvertently activated when tossed into a portable bag.

I’m on vacation, procrastination at its finest!

Yes. I am on vacation. I need to deal with some legal matters that’s why. And besides, I need this break. I am missing a lot of things. I don’t get to shop and go out with my friends as much I want to. Oh my goodness, procrastination is just lovely. To just sit here and do a whole lot of nothing feels so wonderful and this is why I procrastinate. Harhar.
Early this month, P sent me a message over YM. I was surprised when she told me she’s not in the Philippines. I immediately asked why she didn’t tell me about her plan and did not even see me before leaving, she replied “You were too busy” and my jaw dropped to the floor. Reminds me even more of my damn busy miserable life. Arrghh. But hey guys, you are all leaving me!
I took advantage of these rare moments to shop in Glorietta. I picked up below basic top from Terranova. I bought 2 pieces, a yellow and a red.

I also took home a go-to black lightweight cotton pullover for casual days and a black skinny silk neck tie from the same store.

I’ve been eyeing on this for quite a while, a glass mug from SB. A diswasher and microwave safe. This week, I had enough reason to get this. My brother would always leave all the glasses unwashed at home. I don’t eat and rarely drink a water at home, and if I dare want to drink a water I am always deprived.I told him this one is exclusive for me. Harhar.

Shopping won’t be complete without dropping by at National Bookstore. I got myself a book from Acts29, the “Best Inspirational Stories of the year”, an inspiring collection of true stories which I’m hoping to warm my heart, lift my spirit and enrich my life :P. I need a source of strength and reminders that life challenges can make me a better person when we meet them with faith, courage and an unwavering belief in God.

Google Pay out

This morning, I went to Glorietta again to collect my Google payout via Western Union. This time, I made sure I sync my phone and my mac iCal where I saved my MTCN for my Google payout.
I had my breakfast at Pizza Hut Bistro. I managed to drop by at PCX to buy some toilitires as well. I have realized I have been getting my supplies from a convenience store. That’s how dull and miserable a life can be for a call center employee.
Anyhoo, I bought a hairbrush compact. I was actually just looking for a compact mirrow but I guess I was lucky to find Denman’s mirror with unique pop-out hairbush. It fits neatly into my bag and even my pocket. It cost PhP 295.00. Quite expensive for a mirror, but not bad for it’s unique feature.
I also bought 2 tops from Terranova. I haven’t done this for a while.I’d like to do this more often.
Memory Gap

I had to stay until 9:30 AM to meet our new batch of trainees. It’s their first week in the floor and their trainer was not around.
I went to Glorietta to deposit some cash thru BPI’s Express Deposit machine and to collect my Google payout via Western Union. I was done with the first task but failed to do the later. I was already in Sanrys when I realized I failed to sync my mobile phone with my Mac’s iCal where I saved the MTCN number for Google’s Payout. Memory problem… I guess. I tried to use my phone to access adsense site but I was just too unlucky, the connection was not good.
On my way to Parksquare, I dropped by at Happy Feet and took home a lovely pair of comfortable slip-on shoes, a high-heeled clogs. It’s made out of leather, the bottom part is a thick wooden sole.
Why clogs? They said this wooden sandal is good in massaging a tired foot muscles, it supports arch, ball and heel to take pressure off these vital parts. I don’t mind spending PhP2,300 if that is true. My always tired and abused feet deserve a little treat.

An early birthday gift for myself
August 31, 2008 | 11 Views | Leave a Comment
It was my Mom’s idea to get myself something for my birthday. Believe me!
She told me that there are new bags in Lacoste. Oh well, what I bought is a classic bowling bag. I’ve been wanting to get myself a classic bowling bag from Lacoste but I never had a chance. This season, they have it again in 3 colors, white, pink and red. I took home a white one. And I loveee it!

Price: PhP 5,550. Store: Lacoste, Glorietta
Another gift I bought for myself is an analog Champagne Dial from Fossil. It has square links, a retro-inspired bracelet that holds a sleek watch case. The etched champagne-colored dial adds texture to this stainless steel watch. I bought it from the same store where I bought my last Fossil watch and with the help of the same store attendant. Interesting note, Mom was with me again and this is her pick … again.

Price: PhP 6,000 Store: Fossil, Glorietta
