A new job, a new bag

This week I had to face my new job. I went to Clark for my training the day I arrived from Naga City. But I stayed there for a day only. I was permitted to go home Thursday since we are not required to report this Holy Week. First long weekend in my entire working life. I have always been working as a support where holidays are non existent. So another 4-day vacation. How’s that?

I went for a little shopping splurge yesterday. I bought a color-trimmed tote from Gap Rustans which was well-justified since I’ll be going to Clark every weekdays for a month and I hate pulling my rolling luggage. A bag so roomy that I can tote quite a few other things. It’s made from a durable cotton canvas with a green leather-like trim. It has a top handles with a white topstitching on trim, oversized grommets, reinforced bottom and a very cute hook clasp for closure. I got it for PhP 2,450 and it’s so worth it. My other purchase was a black detangling comb from Goody. I also bought 2 hair claws and 2 accesories pouches.

Tomorrow afternoon I’m leaving again for Clark and I will be back my Saturday and hopefully ready with my Vlog #2.

I’m Not A Plastic Bag - Japan Version

There have been loads of stylish eco-friendly bags on the market for a while now. I managed to get the Japan version of the most famous eco-friendly I’m Not A Plastic Bag of Anya Hindmarch.

It’s made from unbleached cotton and produced in partnership with We Are What We Do, a non-profit campaign group that has set out to change the world in small steps. Some people people buy it because it’s a fashion statement. If I bought this because I am shallow and driven by fashion, I’m still helping the planet because I don’t need a plastic bag. What is important is the huge amount of publicity this bag generates. My purchase might be a little too late since this came out first quarter of 2007. But this is definitely a good pick.

I’m semi-functional and losing my drive to work.

Anyhoo, I spotted this online. A roomy canvas tote with striped web handles and a removable zip pouch. But unfortunately, this is part of 2007 Summer Collection so I’m afraid I won’t be able to get one. I’m hoping though. I have seen some in ebay.ph but not sure if they’re authentic. This is perfect for my laptop. I know this is a beach bag, but I wanted a simple tote for macy where one won’t notice I am actually carrying a laptop.
