How much money I earned last October by blogging from Linkworth alone?
November 11, 2008 | 40 Views | Leave a Comment

This screesnhot shows my Linkworth’s earnings for the month of October. I can’t give you an exact figure how much I earned for the month of October but I would say it’s pretty… well it’s pretty. Harhar.
October has passed pretty quickly for me. My earnings remained pretty stable throughout the month but there was a significant increase in my Google Adsense earnings in one of the site I’m running. Interesting note, there was not much change in the traffic but the earnings increased by almost 40%. Though, I still hate collecting Google’s payout via western union as I always have to go out of my way to do it. Unlike other Publishers and Advertises payments are all done via Paypal, which is a lot more convenient. Anyhoo, cheers for blogging!
Memory Gap

I had to stay until 9:30 AM to meet our new batch of trainees. It’s their first week in the floor and their trainer was not around.
I went to Glorietta to deposit some cash thru BPI’s Express Deposit machine and to collect my Google payout via Western Union. I was done with the first task but failed to do the later. I was already in Sanrys when I realized I failed to sync my mobile phone with my Mac’s iCal where I saved the MTCN number for Google’s Payout. Memory problem… I guess. I tried to use my phone to access adsense site but I was just too unlucky, the connection was not good.
On my way to Parksquare, I dropped by at Happy Feet and took home a lovely pair of comfortable slip-on shoes, a high-heeled clogs. It’s made out of leather, the bottom part is a thick wooden sole.
Why clogs? They said this wooden sandal is good in massaging a tired foot muscles, it supports arch, ball and heel to take pressure off these vital parts. I don’t mind spending PhP2,300 if that is true. My always tired and abused feet deserve a little treat.

A call to an Online Service Provider.
February 20, 2008 | 120 Views | 2 Comments
It’s my off from work. So during these times I’m trying hard to do some pending task. Two days ago I have received an email from Yahoo that I should cancel my account since they can’t provide the service, I asked for a refund but they refused since they said it’s beyond 72 hours since I signed up for the service. I had to call Yahoo twice today. The first one was a complaint for not giving back my money for a service that did not took place due to order errors. Luckily, the representative granted the refund request. And the second call was for the domain that boo purchased and mysteriously missing in his account control panel a day after he bought it. He was using a supplementary card from me. During the week he bought the domain, I have noticed 3 unknown deductions in my Credit Balance. Normaly online transaction shows up a day or two after the day the card was used. But those deductions never showed up. And since I moved back to my old pad, I haven’t seen my credit card billing statement since December. Yahoo said boo’s transaction was not authenticated so they had to cancel the service and that they have already refunded our money. Uhhmm. I still have to check it.
I currently own more than 10 domains registered under Yahoo. And the others are under GoDaddy. I’ve heard Yahoo will increase their domain registration fees this March, if that will be the case I will then move all my domains from Yahoo to GoDaddy.
Paypal accept payment button missing

I woke at around 5:00 AM today. I checked my email right after I jump out of bed and learned I have received payments via Paypal. I successfully accepted the first payment on the list, but I couldn’t do the same with the other 5. The last thing I could remember was I have accidentally click “File all” but I know I cancelled it immediately. I tried to login and logout and the list of payment received was not there anymore (as expected). It was in the History but there are no avalable actions. My account balance changed but I’m unsure If I have really received them all. I already sent an email to their Help Center. Lesson learned. I will never ever engaged myself with money matters online when I’m still sleepy.

Still undecided

I just can’t decide about my gallery. I really wish I can move out from PBase soon. I have been bugging Zenphoto’s developer about it’s security. Arrghh!
Anyhoo, I’m free in the next 3 days. Wish I could finally redesign PBS’s theme. I’m keeping my finger’s crossed.

Laughing out loud.
Hi Eloisa!
Ack. Through a COMPLETE bumbling on our part, we’ve accidentally attempted to charge you for the ENTIRE year of 2008 (and probably 2009!) ALREADY (it was all due to a fat finger)!
We’re really really realllly embarassed about this, but you have nothing to worry about. Please ignore any confusing billing messages you may have received recently; we’ve already removed all those bum future charges on your account (#306697) and already refunded the $119.4 charge on your credit card.
You should get the money back on almost immediately, within a day or two max, and there’s no need to contact your credit card company or bankfor the refund.
Thank you very very much for your patience with this.. we PROMISE this won’t happen again. There’s no need to reply to this message unless of course you have any other questions at all!
Sincerely,
The Foolish DreamHost Billing Team
The 2007 Top Pinoy Probloggers

The 2007 Top Pinoy Probloggers of Basapa surprised me. I was in a middle of an afternoon nap today when Dyu woke me up to show Michael’s post. We ranked #6. This was based only on Blog Juice. I was even more surprised when I saw my pic. I wonder where did Michael got it.
Why did I only learned about it today? That’s because our dsl was only installed today. I moved back to my old pad last Nov 29. And the dsl transfer was over delayed because Globe, according to their management, had a system upgrade. We had an unpleasant experience with them but I will not go into the details. Apologies accepted. It took half month before I finally able to restore my online life.
I think I should’nt be included in the list.
What is a problogger? Watch the video below and you will have an idea. It’s a video clip of an interview of Abe and Racoma in Mel and Joey of GMA 7 about problogging.

Pinoyblogosphere is a commitment
November 1, 2007 | 170 Views | 1 Comment
I’ve been watching movies for 5 days straight with dyu. And I’m hoping I’m not gonna watch one tonight.
Exactly 365 days ago, I bought the domain Pinoyblogsphere.com. While Pinoyblogosphere is a great joy, it’s also a great commitment. To have some time where commitments just slip away for a while is a fabulous thing. For those who cares to know, PBS was down for a few days because Dreamhost renamed the index file, leaving the files exposed to the public, and imposed restriction to one of our ftp account causing us not to be able to access the files.
At first no one would tell us what was wrong why we couldn’t access most of the PBS files (services) thru one of our ftp accounts. The sites for most of the time would also return internal errors. The other day, someone from them finally admitted that they have imposed a restriction. They could have just told us right away. So we shouldn’t have wasted our time figuring out what’s wrong on our end. They said, one wrong move and they will disable the account P-E-R-M-A-N-E-N-T-L-Y. That really made me and dyu worry.
Dreamhost claimed that our site was crashing their server. Affecting a hundred other customers. I find it hard to believe. How could a simple script calling for a image 10.3 kb file, similar to hotlink, made their server overload and crashed? I really don’t get it. We have GB’s of storage capacity and TB’s of bandwidth allocation.
The first time this happened was when they said our TopSite crashed their server and they disabled it. We are told not to run it again, otherwise they will disable our account. And so we obeyed them. The site was still up but there were no longer database processing on it. The bloggers who were using the script from the topsite are still getting a pbs chicklet, but it was just a small badge… a plain 10.3 Kb image . We heard no problem and so we thought everything was fine until last week.
Their recommendation was for us to get a Private server from them. Why would I do that? We’re thinking of moving to another host. PBS will shut down some of its services to save it’s main services such as the group blog, forum etc. We hope you can bear with us until we are able to move to a new home. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. I thought then that Dreamhost is a good host but I am very very frustrated about this whole incident.
We are not just ready for the move, but who knows waht will happens next? Another thing, dyu is leaving for U.S. this year or January. And it’s making everything more complicated.
Is this a dream or a nightmare? Tell me?
to be cont…
