I’m sorry if I failed to post my 1st recipe

I failed to post my 1st recipe. We had no internet connection ’til late afternoon. Forgive me for that. Anyhoo, to make myself busy I rearranged some stuff in our house and picked up some mess. Everything seems to be in order again. I’ll leave the house clean and organized. Hopefully, when I get back from a vacation, I won’t see a chaotic monster house. I’m pretty excited about this trip. I’ve never been to Baguio. I’m not sure though. Maybe I have been there with my family. I think I have seen some old pictures of our family when I was a kid in Baguio. Whatever. I’ll have to wait until Thursday though, we need to drop by at Nueva Vizcaya, boo’s hometown. I can’t wait to see their flowers, strawberry and other fruit preserves, Burnham Park, woodcraft and botanical garden. I’ll sure take some photos and show them up here.
At 7:00 PM, boo asked me to come with him to the nearest shop. I wasn’t in the mood to go out. I was too tired, cleaned the house, finish the last load of laundry and cleaned my bag (weh!). But what can I do. His mom asked him to buy harness for their dogs in NV. We were laughing, the harness was more expensive than the dog. I was looking for a toy for mumaw too, unfortunately I did not see anything that will fit mumaw’s personality. I think he needs a soft toy with a rope for chewing and a plush for cuddling with a rattle inside. I wonder where can I get one like the below picture, so he will stop tearing apart my bedskirt, curtain and hamper.

Anyways I haven’t packed my things yet. I’ll do it later.

my prince and spunky little boy

I’m done with my projects. I’ve also managed to get some laundry done. This afternoon we went to Dr. Peralta’s clinic to have Mumaw’s first shot of Anti-rabies vaccine. This is his picture today with my sunglasses on.

I have noticed I haven’t write much about Mumaw. That’s because my free lance jobs piled up for the last 6 months after I left my previous job and in the midst of that came my precious boy..

So let me tell you how Mumaw became a part of my life. I have never really wanted to adopt a dog, But I said to myself if ever I will, I’ll pick bulldog. Gee, but isn’t that too big expecially I have a studio-type pad? Early this year, on my way home, I saw this chubby doggy in Palm Tower’s lobby. His name is Kulas, a four-year old pug. Thought then, he looks like a bulldog but a lot more smaller. Only then I learned that pug exist in the world. Come to think, I have never even bothered to research FRANK’s (MIB) bred and have almost forgotten he was part of MIB’s cast? That’s how im uninterested with dogs before.

Anyhoo, since then I wanted to keep a small dog and researched different breeds. After much thought, I decided a pug would be perfect for me. BUT, boo have always stopped me. So, I had to be satisfied with tamisho, a pug toy.

Sometime in August while I was checking out on the internet ads, I saw a picture of a 4 newly born pug puppies. I immediately jumped on the phone and called for a meet. The next thing I knew Mumaw was boarded to a plane headed to Manila. I was surprised Tin arrived in my pad with 2 tiny pup, she asked me which one I will I adopt, how do you pick one out of the two when they are all so darn cute? In my mind, I wanted to get the one with the bigger head, that’s mumaw by the way. Even before I could scoop him, Tin suggested I should pick Mumaw and so we were sold. Gave out my cheque and cleaned mumaw’s first potty on the floor. He was perfect, it was love at first snort.
her flight across the country

I call him MUMAW (mumu + mamaw = mumaw). Both mumu and mamaw means monster for a filipino child. He was born on June 25,2006 and he was registered with the name CROPER at the Philippine Canine Club, Inc. on July 12, 2006 by his breeder. Unfortunately PCCI does not allow change of Name. So his legal name will always be CROPER. Who cares, so long he believes his name is mumaw. His father is Clar of Trees, and her mother is Aloha of Cutefy. He has 9 redmarks.

I know I’m still learning the ropes of taking care of him. He is very hyper, easily distracted and he chew on everything, bed skirt, slipper, plastic, paper, actually anything he finds in the floor. He like to get things he knows he shouldn’t have, I think he likes me chasing him all the time and thinks it is so much fun. But mumaw is a wonderful companion and he draws a crowd wherever we go.

I give him a feeding schedule and I stick to it. 3/4 Cup in the morning and 3/4 in the evening and some threats in between. I feed him Eukanuba, the best puppy food for me yet the most expensive also. :(

travel very well. He always chase my brother, Angelo, who lives with me. He just love Running in crazy circles and down the hall. We always try to take him out for a walk in the neighborhood at least every other day. He always lead the way so sometimes I need to run. He doesn’t care where we are going as long he smells everythign along the way. He also love to rub himself against the grass.

Since we don’t have much air, We try to give him a bath once or twice a month or even more.

Travellin with him is not a problem. I don’t have a car, so our frequent trips to vet require hiring a cab. And I absolutely love him for behaving so well. I always hold him up to the window so he can see the whole city. We always catch smiling faces and waving hands.

Just last night, I and Boo took him out for her first walk on the streets of Makati to get some DoughNuts, Little spunky boy bravely leading our way, as if he know where we are going. I was at the back so he was occasionaly stopping and looking back at me checking if I can follow :P.

He is definitely a keeper! to be continued..

There are many young professionals who can’t cook and two weeks ago, I was one of them
